Light, bright and welcoming
Our ballroom is light, bright and welcoming, with large windows and a feature curved ceiling. Recently redecorated in neutral tones, it is the perfect room for large events. With a pretty balcony; excellent for photo opportunities, and a raised stage; ideal for dramatic or music events, the ballroom also boasts the largest sprung floor in Devon. Able to accommodate around 200 people standing, or 120 seated, there is direct access to our newly refurbished kitchen with full cooking facilities, toilets and changing rooms.
It is a superb space for a wonderful wedding reception, a dinner dance, concerts, parties, exhibitions & fairs and conferences. Our helpful staff can advise on local businesses, such as caterers and florists, to ensure your event will be a fabulous success. We can set up seating within the room to your exact requirements.
Wheelchair friendly with a lift to the first floor, and plenty of toilet facilities. The ballroom is also available for local clubs and societies to hire on an hourly basis.
All of our spaces in the Guildhall are licensed for Civil Marriage and Civil Partnership ceremonies.
