The Council Chamber is where the Town Council holds its monthly meetings. The room has a grand feel, with beautiful oak panelling, sparkly lighting, and impressive pillars and cornicing. It is a truly unique space for your wedding ceremony.
There are many historical paintings on the walls, telling the history of Dartmouth and our council, all adding to the formal atmosphere. We can set up the room for civil weddings and partnerships, as the council holds a civil license, for around 100 people. After your ceremony you can hire our Ballroom for a formal reception, or why not consider the Clifton Room? Directly opposite the chamber and with a small kitchenette, the room can accommodate around 60 people comfortably.
All of our spaces in the Guildhall are licensed for Civil Marriage and Civil Partnership ceremonies. As well as marriages, the council chamber can be hired for many different events, please ask for details.
